Staking locks that inflate spendable totals

Exchange earn and staking screens often sit one click away from the spot wallet. Imports that only read “total equity” will happily count locked positions as if they were ready to withdraw. For reconciliation, that is a category error.

Split the view

Where the venue allows, import available and locked figures as separate ledger lines. Where it does not, add a manual locked line and reduce the spendable total accordingly. The portfolio ledger should answer two questions: what do we control economically, and what can we move today?

A review habit

Each quarterly ledger review, ask whether any new earn product was enrolled since the last close. New locks are a frequent source of surprise among teams that otherwise keep connectors tidy.
